Do you want to make a difference in an unpaid carers life?

Imagine you are caring for a family member 24/7, your friend has invited you on a once in a lifetime weekend holiday and you have to say no. How can you leave your loved one? That’s when Caring Together step in to help.

Our purpose as a charity is to help all unpaid carers get the support they need and the time off they deserve.

We are looking for care professionals who will go the extra mile to help unpaid carers have a much needed break from their caring responsibilities.  This could be a couple of hours where you provide companionship (having a chat and a cup of tea), do some shopping, cleaning, gardening, and in some cases, personal care. We have shifts ranging from four hours to full weekends with an opportunity to earn up to £1,000 per shift (for a live in weekend).

We have several opportunities for care professionals.  You don’t need experience (we will train you) but you do need a caring nature and a desire to make a positive difference in someone’s life. A car and a current driving licence are essential too as you must drive between calls and sometimes take our clients out.

No shift is the same and we guarantee you’ll hear some amazing stories from our clients.

About Caring Together

We are proud to support over 17,000 carers and their families every year.  Our vision is of a world where carers have choices.

Three in five of us will become a carer at some point in our life. Caring Together is an ambitious regional charity that provides emotional and practical support, advice and guidance to carers of all ages and their families, as well as opportunities to take a break from their caring role.

We believe in providing great care and connecting with the people we support.

What our staff say

Jane said, “I feel proud to be part of a team who are committed to providing the best possible support to families, doing small things that make a big difference to people in their own homes and out and about.”

And Brendan said, “My care work consists of helping older people with personal care, shopping, taking them on trips out, though mostly they enjoy having someone to chat to, keeping them company.”

We are inclusive. We celebrate multiple approaches and points of view. We are an equal opportunities employer and expect staff to respect the personal choice and lifestyles of colleagues, carers, and people with care needs.
