Join our staff and volunteer team to support our day clubs
Our day clubs give respite to family carers by providing a day of companionship and safe and stimulating activities for older people with varying disabilities, including dementia. Part of a staff and volunteer team this volunteer role supports the running of the day club and allows us to offer more interaction with individuals who attend. These sessions help to make a huge difference to people’s lives – and we’d love you to support the work that we do by:
- Welcoming and supporting people who attend the club.
- Helping to make and serve refreshments (teas, coffees and biscuits) and helping to at lunchtime, including to clear up.
- Setting up and participating in activities such as a variety of games, arts and crafts to interest and stimulate those who attend, belong to ensure that everyone is engaged as much as possible in a safe and friendly environment.
No experience of working with older people is needed, as support and training is provided.
The role does not include providing personal care.
