Have you experienced stroke or caring for someone affected by stroke?

25th February 22

Are you someone who has experienced stroke or are you caring for someone affected by stroke?  Do you have an interest in improving health care and a passion for improving patient experience and developing excellent public participation?

If you are, the new East of England Stroke Patient, Public Voice and Carer Assurance Group are keen for you to join them as a representative.

As a representative of the group, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the work of the East of England Integrated Stroke Delivery Networks (ISDNs).

The ISDNs want to put people affected by stroke at the heart of everything they do. They are keen to listen to people affected by stroke to make sure the work they are doing is right for them.  Involving stroke survivors of all ages in discussions and decisions about stroke care is essential for developing stroke services that meet the needs of people affected by stroke including their families and carers, people at risk of stroke and underserved groups and communities.

The group is seeking representatives with an awareness of, and commitment to, equality and diversity, who are able to represent the wider views of patients and carers and who have a willingness to listen and challenge.

There are a variety of roles to apply for including Chair and Vice-Chair. Deadline for applications is midnight on Monday 21 March 2022.
