Join our friendly team as a Customer Care Administrator and be the welcoming voice of a charity that supports unpaid carers across the region. This is your chance to make a real difference every day.

About Caring Together Charity

Our vision is a world with no unpaid carer in crisis, isolated or struggling alone.

Three in five of us will become a carer at some point in our lives. Caring Together is an ambitious regional charity that provides emotional and practical support, information and advice to carers of all ages and their families, as well as opportunities to take a break from their caring role.

About the role

As our Customer Care Administrator, you’ll be the friendly first point of contact for carers and professionals reaching out to us. Whether it’s answering calls, responding to emails, or supporting internal teams, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every interaction is warm, efficient, and helpful.

You’ll also support the Office and Customer Service Manager with key administrative tasks – from onboarding new starters to managing equipment and coordinating internal meetings. If you love variety, people, and making a difference, this role is for you.

What you will be doing

  • Welcoming and supporting callers and visitors with care and professionalism.
  • Handling enquiries and directing them to the right teams across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Norfolk.
  • Supporting carer bursary schemes and processing applications.
  • Managing day-to-day admin: referrals, post, payments, bookings, equipment, and more.
  • Assisting with staff onboarding and offboarding.
  • Providing secretarial support for internal meetings.
  • Contributing to events, projects, and service improvements.
  • Being a go-to person for colleagues needing help with systems or resources.

What we are looking for

  • A natural communicator with excellent customer service skills.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and keen to learn new systems.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple tasks.
  • A team player with a positive, solution-focused attitude.
  • Someone who thrives in a busy, people-centred environment.

Experience working with carers or volunteers is a bonus, but not essential – we value your attitude and willingness to learn.

What we can offer you

  • Hybrid working – up to three days from home per week.
  • Flexible working culture.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Paid carers’ leave.
  • Wellbeing programme.
  • Staff referral scheme.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.
