About Caring Together Charity
Our vision is a world with no unpaid carer in crisis, isolated or struggling alone.
Three in five of us will become a carer at some point in our lives. Caring Together is an ambitious regional charity that provides emotional and practical support, information and advice to carers of all ages and their families, as well as opportunities to take a break from their caring role.
About the role
We are a regional charity dedicated to supporting unpaid carers, and we’re growing our team to reach even more people who need our help and are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Community Fundraiser to join us. This is a brand-new post, perfect for someone with the confidence and creativity to build strong relationships, tell our story with passion, and inspire vital support from a range of audiences.
You’ll be responsible for developing relationships with community groups and local companies, generating crucial income to allow us to continue our vital work. You’ll work closely with community groups, volunteers, and donors, building connections and driving engagement every step of the way.
What you’ll be doing
- Inspire support and generosity from Rotary Clubs, Lions Clubs, Freemasons, golf clubs, and more through talks, events, and personal engagement.
- Build creative partnerships with companies across the region to encourage fundraising, donations, and festive support like Christmas card sales.
- Organise and oversee exciting community events – fun runs, sponsored walks, challenge days – that rally people together.
- Be the face of Caring Together Charity at festivals, fairs, and networking events.
- Create compelling fundraising content for social media and campaigns.
- Co-ordinate wonderful volunteers and ensure they feel valued and supported.
- Provide thoughtful stewardship – thanking supporters and celebrating their impact.
- Keep things on track with accurate data management and best practice compliance.
What we’re looking for
- Confidence, warmth, and a genuine enthusiasm for our cause.
- Imaginative ideas and the energy to bring them to life.
- Experience in fundraising or community outreach.
- Excellent communication skills – especially when speaking to an audience.
- A team spirit and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
What you’ll get
- A chance to shape a new role and make it your own.
- 33 days annual leave (pro rata, including public holidays).
- Supportive colleagues and a values-driven working culture.
- EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) including a 24/7 GP service.
- Opportunities for professional development.
- Paid carer’s, sickness and bereavement leave (subject to certain criteria being met).
- The joy of knowing your work directly improves lives every single day.
