Healthwatch Peterborough is your local independent champion for health and care. Their job is to make sure that those who run local health and care services understand and act on what really matters to people. Healthwatch listens to your experiences of care and uses these to help influence local health and care decision makers. They won’t share your personal details with them when they do this. Healthwatch can challenge poor care or when services are changed without properly involving people. Healthwatch has an information Service and can help you find your way around local health and care services, including what to do if you have a complaint or a concern. This is free and confidential. You can get in touch with Healthwatch about anything to do with NHS services from hospital and GP care, through to dentists and opticians. You can can also contact Healthwatch about anything to do with social care, from support in your home or care home and care assessments, through to mental health social support.
