Community Alarms can be rented from one of the local providers listed below. The basic set-up comprises a pendant button which when pressed activates a speech unit which contacts a control centre via the phone line staffed 24/7. The control centres are then able to offer reassurance and an appropriate response as needed.
All the providers listed below will be offering an Enhanced Response Service (ERS) provided by Cambridgeshire County Council Reablement Service by the end of 2017. A key safe will be needed to allow access if using ERS see Keysafe Information sheet available on request.
Other local and national providers are available but additional monitoring charges may be applied for additional telecare peripherals and they may not have a response service in Cambridgeshire.

Assistive Technology and Telehealthcare (ATT)
Once in place the community alarm can be linked to telecare sensors within the home provided by the ATT services following an assessment of need. Telecare sensors most commonly linked are falls alerting systems to raise an alert if the pendant is not pressed by the individual.
