Ceres Lodge have made a wonderful £1,000 donation to Caring Together Charity in recognition of our vital work supporting unpaid carers across the community.
Lodge member Peter De-Gol and Norfolk masonic community engagement officer Ian Betts met Caring Together senior fundraising manager Laura Price at our Swaffham office for a cheque presentation.
The Swaffham-based Ceres Lodge raised the funds through a recent Lodge of Instruction dinner and a Burns Night celebration.
Their generous donation will go towards one of our key focuses – supporting young carers. These are children and young people who take on caring responsibilities beyond what would normally be expected for their age, often balancing school, social life and emotional pressures alongside their role at home.
Caring Together works to identify and support these individuals early, helping to reduce the impact on their education, wellbeing and future opportunities.
Ian Betts said: “By supporting organisations such as Caring Together Charity, our members are able to turn our value of service into something tangible, making a direct and lasting difference within the communities in which they live.”
Laura Price commented: “The £1,000 donation from Ceres Lodge will contribute towards sustaining and developing our services, enabling Caring Together to reach more people and continue providing meaningful support where it is needed most.”
Caring Together Charity always welcome support from the community. If you want to help local unpaid carers through fundraising events or donations, please contact fundraising@caringtogether.org or see www.caringtogether.org for more details.
