Digital transformation – making strides to improve our services

7th November 19

Caring Together has taken a bold step to invest in technology and digital solutions to make access to services and support easier for the increasing number of carers across the region.

John Platten has recently joined us as digital transformation manager to lead on this essential piece of work.

Miriam Martin, Caring Together chief executive says: “We have a great opportunity now to bring about major change in the way we do things and I’m delighted that, with his wealth of knowledge and experience, John has joined our team. A warm Caring Together welcome to John.”

In addition to new systems to make us more efficient we are also looking at how we can use technology to improve the care we provide in people’s homes and the community.

John Platten says: “I am looking at different options for the ways we work – with each other and with the people who we support – to help bring the charity to the forefront of carer services. We want systems and devices that work and make getting in touch with us, be it for advice, booking care for a loved one or making a donation, as easy as possible.”
