The service runs twice monthly wellbeing respite activity sessions for people who have care needs, including those living with memory problems and dementia.
Sessions run on the second Thursday of the month (11.00am-3.00pm) and the fourth Thursday of the month (11.30am-3.30pm) at Peel House (Council Offices), Queen Street, Whittlesey PE7 1AY
The four-hour sessions are designed around the needs of the individual enabling the carer to have a break. The sessions combine various activities with easy access to focused support as and when needed. Activities, lunch and all refreshments are provided in the cost which is £45.00 per session.
Anyone attending the group will need to complete an assessment form and all attendees must be able to take care of their own personal care needs, although we are able to offer verbal prompts.
Staff are DBS checked and qualified. Documents are available to view.
It is our passion to help those that need support and believe that it is so important that everyone caring for another person should have the opportunity of respite. High quality activity support groups can make a real difference to people and their loved ones.
