Dementia Adventure provide a range of services – all with nature in mind – to help remove barriers and increase opportunities for people living with dementia to access the health and wellbeing benefits that engaging with nature brings. Dementia Adventure specialise in designing and delivering supported dementia holidays, short breaks and outings for people with dementia and their partners, family, friends and carers to enjoy together, with the support of trained staff and volunteers. In addition to these adventures, they provide a range of free dementia training for families and individuals; enabling them to better understand dementia and equip them with the skills, strategies and practical guidance to support them in their caring role. They also offer:
- Tailored training and consultancy for other organisations; to upskill their staff, create more dementia inclusive and accessible services, and give better choice and opportunities for people with dementia.
- Research into the benefits of physical activity within nature for people living with dementia.
