How our lottery helps local families

Young carers at the beachBy playing our lottery, you are helping Caring Together Charity to meet the needs of families affected by disability and serious illness. Through supporting unpaid carers, we help both them and the person who is ill or disabled.

    We help by:

    • Answering over 80 calls per day from carers
    • Providing fun days out for extraordinary children who have caring responsibilities
    • Providing support groups
    • Giving vital breaks for carers.

Your chance to win is a chance for unpaid carers to thrive.

    Frequently asked questions

We have listed some popular FAQs below. There are more on the Lottery website.

How many numbers can I choose?+

You can choose six numbers yourself. Alternatively you can choose a ‘lucky dip’ and the system will randomly select your lottery number(s).

    Can I change my numbers?+

You can change your numbers in the ‘Manage my account’ area on the website.

Can I check online to see if I have won?+

Yes you can go online every Friday afternoon to view the results.

What are the entry requirements for the Lottery?+

You must be 18 years old or over and live in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) to enter the Affinity Lottery or to claim a prize.

    How many prizes are there?+

Each week you have the opportunity to win one of 37 cash prizes:

    1st prize £25,000

    2nd prize £1,000

    35 guaranteed runner-up prizes: 5 x £20, 10 x £10 and 20 x £5

When will my first draw take place?+

When you set up a direct debit, there is a ten-day set up period before any collection can be made. Please note that this may cause a delay to the timings of your first draw.

What should I look for on my bank statement?+

Payments on your bank statement will show as either ‘The Woods Group T/A Affinlott’ or ‘Affinity Lottery’.

    Please note
    Win big, care bigger
Our weekly lottery operates through a pooled lottery model which means that although proceeds from your entry fees come to the charity to help us to continue our work, the prize pay outs do not impact on charity funds.

This lottery is for adults aged 18 years and over.

We understand that lotteries aren’t for everyone. If you feel that playing isn’t right for you, or if you’re concerned about your gambling habits, you can choose to opt out at any time by cancelling your direct debit with your bank. You can also opt out of lottery-specific communications from Caring Together Charity by contacting our Customer Services team on 0345 241 0954 or hello@caringtogether.org.  Your wellbeing matters to us just as much as the people we support.

Thank you for your compassion and support.

For practical help and support on problem gambling, visit begambleaware.org or contact GAMCARE on 0808 802 0133.
