Day club volunteers

Join our staff and volunteer team to support our day clubs

Our day clubs give respite to family carers by providing a day of companionship and safe and stimulating activities for older people with varying disabilities, including dementia. Part of a staff and volunteer team this volunteer role supports the running of the day club and allows us to offer more interaction with individuals who attend. These sessions help to make a huge difference to people’s lives – and we’d love you to support the work that we do by:

  • Welcoming and supporting people who attend the club.
  • Helping to make and serve refreshments (teas, coffees and biscuits) and helping to at lunchtime, including to clear up.
  • Setting up and participating in activities such as a variety of games, arts and crafts to interest and stimulate those who attend, belong to ensure that everyone is engaged as much as possible in a safe and friendly environment.

No experience of working with older people is needed, as support and training is provided.

The role does not include providing personal care.

We are looking for volunteers to help with our March Day Club and Brampton Day Club.
