Change lives – volunteers needed for carers hubs

  • Would you like to make a life-changing difference to unpaid family carers in your local community?
  • And make a life-changing difference to those they care for?

We’re looking for friendly and reliable people to offer a few hours a month to help us run monthly groups. The groups will provide support and advice for carers and enjoyable activities for those they care for. In return we will provide full training and support.

If you could help at groups located at any of the following locations we would love to hear from you:

  • Cambridge
  • Ely
  • Great Shelford
  • Huntingdon
  • Peterborough
  • Wisbech.

Some experience of supporting groups and organising activities such as crafts, games, music etc would be fantastic, but not essential as full training and support will be given.

Most important will be your desire to make a difference to the lives of unpaid carers in your local community.

We envisage that you’ll need to be able to offer us a regular commitment of four hours per month plus time for training and support sessions.

We’re still finalising the exact locations and days of each group but to help us plan this we’d love to hear from anyone who thinks they may be interested in this exciting new volunteering opportunity in their area.
