If you live in Cambridgeshire and low mood or worry is preventing you from enjoying life and getting on with the things that you want and need to do, Care Network Cambridgeshire may be able to help. The navigator wellbeing team can help you explore and understand how you are feeling and together you can identify appropriate options which will help you progress and improve your wellbeing; these can include self-help and coping skills and advice about other opportunities. This may be delivered through one-to-one support on the phone, virtually, by email or in person (when safe to do so). In Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, they also offer Project Catalyst Wellbeing support:

  • Check and chat service – staff or volunteers can support you if you are experiencing isolation and loneliness and may benefit from a regular friendly phone call.
  • Trusted friend service – volunteers can help you to build up confidence to get out and about in your local community, for example by accompanying you on a walk, or to the shop, or along to a group or a service.
  • Back on track – the COVID pandemic has had an impact on the wellbeing of many of us, so if you are newly experiencing low mood or stress linked to issues arising from the pandemic and changing circumstances (such as worries about family, work, money, loss of confidence, etc.), and think you might benefit from some one-to-one and/or group support, a member of the team can help you to understand how you are feeling and explore ways you can improve your situation.

As their volunteer services are time limited (usually six sessions) they can also advise you about other options you can access. To ensure the best use of resources they prioritise those who are not already receiving similar support elsewhere. All their services are free. If you are experiencing more complex and enduring mental ill health you may fall out of scope for their services, in which case they can advise you about more appropriate support.
